J. S. Bach va compondre cinc passions per a lloança del patiment i mort de Crist. Només dues d'elles s'han conservat i el Palau de la Música Catalana té com a tradició programar-les cada temporada per volts de Setmana Santa.
Els divendres 6 i 27 de març esdevindran apassionants: gaudirem de la Passió segons Sant Joan amb Monteverdi Choir i English Baroque Soloist i de la Passió segons Sant Mateu de la mà d’Arcangelo (cor i orquestra barroca).
