El Palau de la Música Catalana és un escenari ideal per acollir aquesta proposta d'òpera barroca. Proximitat, format essencial i atenció total a la qualitat interpretativa. Les tres òperes barroques que integren aquest cicle (Ariodante, Il retorno d'Ulisse in patria i Tamerlano) compten amb el contrapunt d’una obra contemporània de Kaija Saariaho (Only the sound remains) inspirada en el teatre noh. Un viatge a l'arrel de l'òpera amb Händel, Monteverdi i Vivaldi... i al seu futur.
